Live Show Etiquette: A Guide to Being a #1 Fan

This article is one we have wanted to do for a while for all the friends and family of our artists! We will run through some of the best ways to give some extra support to your favorite bands, and include some tips along the way.

Before the show

It greatly helps the artists, venues, and agents involved if you find the Facebook event and click “going”. This helps us have a more accurate estimate, and helps the event grow to more people. Please consider doing that for events and sharing the posts that the venue, artists, and agents make! Help us get the word out and so it is more fun for everyone involved!

Loading in and Loading out

Always ask the musicians if they would like help, never assume it's ok! Gear is really expensive and often sentimental, so artists can be very cautious and it's best to ask first. We greatly appreciate the offer but don’t take any offense if the musicians want to do it themselves.

The Show

During the show, please come close to the stage! Often it just takes a few people to start it and then everyone else is up there too. Cheer after each song and sing along if you know the words!

Take pictures and video, there are many ways to help with this. Send the content to the band members so they can use it, this helps so much! Also feel free to share it on your socials and shout them out. This simple act can really help a band, as they are busy performing and its hard to keep up with consistent photos and videos.

Leaving the show

Musicians understand not everyone is going to stay at a bar until 2am for the entire show. You can always stay as long as you would like, and send a text the following day just telling them what you thought of the show. We understand if you don't say a “proper goodbye” when you need to go, we know you are busy too and we appreciate you coming!

Support the other acts too

If you are going to see a friend that is playing on a show with multiple acts, try to stay a little for each and support them all. It always hurts a little seeing fans of one band leave right before you start your set.

Word of Mouth

Tell your friends that these guys rock! Invite them to shows with you. Wear their merch and be happy to point people to the released music! Thank you for supporting live music and helping artists live the dream!
